Name Change.

Just thought I might let everyone know Ive decided to change the name of my blog. Ive been thinking about it over the last week or so that the original name of the blog was a bit long and a mouthfull as well. So now we have The Waratah Railway Workshops.

Over the last 2 weeks or so Ive managed to get a large amount of work done to the PV Explosive Van. Once I return back Home after this weekend and get a little bit more work done on it I will give you all an update on my progress.

  1. Jason, sorry for asking this here, but as I don't have your e-mail I don't have any other way of contacting you. firstly, nothing at all wrong with a name change, as the blog grows and evolves the ideals may stay the same but sometimes the name doesn't cover what we're trying to illustrate through our blogging. Mine changed fairly early on, first it was 'the eternal beginner', then as the layout actually 'became' then 'Splitters Swamp Creek' became the new name. The basis of the blog didn't change, but it did enable me to focus more on the layout.

How are things going in the new state? Things can take a little while to settle into the new routines.

I have a couple of PV's to go together so I'm keen to see what you've done that I might be able to squeeze into HO.

You mentioned in a comment on my blog that you have measurements for the 4 wheel sleeper wagons, any chance of a post regarding the measurements? I have a few photos, so I've no problem doing an update with what I've got so that there is something in it for yourself.

I enjoy reading your blog, and I'll be keen to see what you've done with the PV's.

    Oorroo, Geoff.

  2. Hi Geoff,
No worries about asking here. Thats exactly what comments are for, To ask questions.

Thanks for the kind words. I to enjoy reading your blog. It amazes me how you build all those bits from scratch.

To be honest ive been reading your blog as a "lurker" for a while before I had seen the layout in the flesh at Toowoomba.

Things are going well here in NSW (allthough living here isnt a new thing for me I lived in NSW for 23 years before my recent 12 months in brissy and Toowoomba) Ive settled into my new job and im getting used to this new town (allthough I have spent a bit of time here in the past so its not all that new).

Im progressing with the body of the PV at the moment and I think ill do an update in the next 2 nights or so..... If only I didnt run out of glue tonight.

I will track down my sleeper wagon measurements for you and draw up a drawing that you will be able to easily understand and will gladly email them to you. Only problem is I have to find where all my drawings and bits and pieces are located in the house after being tied up with the move. Give me time I will do that for you.

Thanks for the kind words mate.
    Jason.
